The departure of the co-creators left me feeling rather uneasy about the adaptation and it seems my feeling weren’t unfounded.

Huh.  I didn’t even know they were on.

My childhood involved the original G1 cartoons. Those were better than Bayformers. At least the new movie got it right. Transformers that looked like actual damn Transformers.

One artist mused that AI will have record labels decide they don’t need artists... only to have streaming services decide they don’t need the record labels.

Why wasn’t this preventable?

Kinda that reminder when we think how far we have to go for equality, some places have even further.

Transforms better than any Bayformer ever did.

I live in Florida and it’s very, very clear to me the only reason this is even being considered is because a considerable amount of money exchanged hands. Why would they risk even moderate radiation to road workers and the water runoff?

Because someone will make a buck off it.

Even the Borg are no match for the almighty dollar.  It’s bad enough it was cancelled, but insult to injury is its early removal from the lineup solely for tax purposes.

How about we just pretend the Bayformers don’t exist and create a new timeline of less-suckage?  I still want a Frank Welker Megatron.

Most AI research I’m aware of in the military community are focused on “situational awareness” in terms of giving people on the ground a better understanding of what’s going on, but there’s definitely a serious debate once you get into the realm of giving a machine the ability to kill on its own. Despite how Hollywood

Regulation will look like whatever keeps it in the hands of the Googles and Microsofts of the world, who can afford buzzwords like “certification” and “licensing.”  Already Europe is tossing around the idea of quashing open-source research under such banners.

Careful.  Thoughtful and nuanced analysis doesn’t make for that sizzling doom-n-gloom clickbait.  I don’t know which is more annoying, the hype train or the doom-sayers.

I’m always happy to see more RPG options beyond the standard western-fantasy DnD style from other communities, but I also kinda wish more there were more imports from countries.  I’ve a number of J-TTRPG like Tenra-Basho and would love to see more.

It certainly can’t hurt that, from what I’ve seen in the trailers, Transformers actually transform like, well, Transformers. I hated Bayformers for this reason with their incomprehensible sequences that clearly showed the CGI staff had zero clue how to make the pieces fit together, something a Japanese 12 year old

What puts GoT at the top for me wasn’t just it was a bad and stupid end, it was the season long dragging of characters kicking and screaming to the bad and stupid end.  I couldn’t believe how many characters got done dirty, none greater than Dany cos “Mad Queen Gonna Mad Queen.”

That’s also a two way street.  I can’t tell you the number of times a pedestrian or cyclist wasn’t paying attention or simply assumed my own 3500lb industrial machine has no inertia and can stop on a dime.   That also goes for motorcyclists who think traffic is their own personal slalom course.

If you were going to include a Whedonverse show, it should have been “Angel.”

“Let’s get to work.”

Between stuff like this and garbage Day-1 release quality, this is why I never pre-order.  The little useless perks like decos and skins aren’t worth the extra $$ and aggravation of a janky ass product.

There’s a similar Grand Prix in neighboring St Pete I could literally watch from an office tower and that wasn’t enough. Open wheel racing is boring and NASCAR isn’t much better most of the time. Give me a local dirt track or Tony Stewart’s SRX circuit.
