My Mom’s most delicious apple pie ever is iced - its just a sugar glaze, but it only adds to the scrumptiousness.

I’m old, and definitely put it off a long time for similar reasons, so I get it. I also had a long, bad history with counselors, because my Mom made me go a number of times when I was younger. Unfortunately "talk therapy" is not very effective with chemical imbalances. Medication is what really made a difference.

I’ve managed to avoid due to all the quality reality TV shows (oxymoron), and I hope to never get desperate enough to watch the k-show, 'cause I know I'd be hooked.

Looking for some advice/opinion on this:

You sound like me before I was diagnosed. I don’t know how old you are (and it doesn’t really matter), but getting diagnosed and treated was a life-changer for me. Good luck!

Mine is fairly mild, but it is still a challenge. I wish the best for you. I’m very fortunate with my work situation (even though it took a mental breakdown to get there). That, along with medication, has helped tremendously.

Redacted for confusion.

I’m turning 50 in March, and I can wait! Ive already started saying I’m 50, because I’m closer to that than 49.

I’m not severely mentally ill, but I do suffer from agoraphobia, and I can totally relate! I’m 50, and a major accomplishment is making it to work for a whole week. (fortunately my job has accommodated me by letting me have Wednesdays off, so I never have to work more than 2 days in a row)

I think its a pretty safe assumption that parents who are willing to spend (time) and money to better their children’s education on private school would likely do the same for their children's education at a public school.

Wrong. If parents are willing to pay for private school so their progeny gets a leg up on the folks who go to public school, you can damn well bet if they were forced to put their kids in public school they would be investing a lot more money, and probably time, to the public schools in the interest of their

Yeah, the silliness of the photo gets in the way of any sexiness.

If all those parents were forced to send their kids to public school, their money would be invested in public schools.

They can go to public school if they want security.

No. Personally, I think we should do away with private schools and make all the funding go to public education. What a wonderful society we would have if everybody had access to the same, quality education.

Thank you!

All the more reason that money should go to public schools. Everyone should have access to a decent education, not just those who can afford it. (and scholarships also take money/resources away from public schools)

Starred for fremdschamen!

I just tried to respond to this, but I’m too stoned to know what happened to my other post.
