Iron Fist was not “decent.” Luke Cage was “decent.” Iron First was flat out bad. Not the worst-thing-done-in-the-history-of-mankind bad that some make it out to be, but it was bad. And when you compare it to the first seasons of Jessica Jones and Daredevil...it never stood a chance.

Speaking as someone who lived through both decades — although this has elements of an 80s parody (above all in the style of video production), it’s nevertheless much more a 70s parody. The mustaches, open shirts, bell bottoms, the style of the lettering — all definitely 70s.

I realize that we want to be charitable and presume Trump2016 was colluding with Putin2016 in a kind of equal gain kind of scenario. This vastly overestimates Trump’s competence and undervalued Putin’s genius.
