The egg opened, birthing a universe.
The egg opened, birthing a universe.
It was the perfect example of how the film either consciously or subconsciously disrespected the ladies. (The unnecessary, brutal death of a secondary character was a lesser example.)
Yesterday in St. Louis, eight miles and a single year removed from Michael Brown’s dismantling, police claimed another black life. His name was Mansur Ball-Bey. He was 18 years old. The two officers who shot at him said he pointed a gun at them. They said they had no choice.
What the holy fuck is wrong with people ? I understand that there are plenty of issues where both sides hold valid points, but this? This is not one of those.
Well of course, practicality looks radically different from“cool” 90% of the time, just look at any real medieval armor outfit, and compare it to whats often shown in movie and tv. That being said, there’s a difference between practical, and cool. Cool-looking designs are not much different than “sexy” outfits, but…
The Thor one kills me. It looks cool, and practical. Why can’t females just look bad-ass in armor and shit? I don’t really think its that much less “sexy”.
Which brings us back to Black Lives Matter. All candidates should be challenged on race;
Darth Vader V. 2.0 Now with less emotional baggage.
The person standing on the left, behind the central speaker, looks to be of similar shape and size to Darth Vader, with a helm to match....
Yeah! Where in the fuck is Hawk-Dude?!?!
Train wreck was alright, but it was also pretty cliche, and many of those cliches are the exact kind of things Amy constantly attacks in her skits and personal statements. It seemed a little hypocritical for her to star in a movie that pulls a lot of the shit she herself criticizes so much.
It came from below, vastly hungry.
The galaxy glittered, then it spoke.
What?
I just love bullshit like this. Here comes an author whose trying to push his political agenda, and all these goddamn morons come flying in shouting their agreements and trying to claim Tolkien of all people was somehow responsible for pushing a “racist” agenda.
Gawker, please, please, pretty please with a bow on top; WRITE MORE ARTICLES LIKE THIS.
I feel it’s a slippery slope, but I’ll wade in regardless....
It’s too bad Sanderson’s a hack.
It wasn't perhaps that it was bad, but that it felt very rushed. The entire ending lasts for a couple of minutes at most, and while I'm all for ambiguity, the twist ending the game finished with felt more to me like it came out of left field than something they'd carefully set up over the story of the finale.
I don’t get why video games, which set up narrative arcs over triple the time of films at the low end, always have such poor pay-offs for their endings. This was a terrible and horrifically anti-climatic conclusion to the series. It just..sort of ends. There’s no real set up or work done to earn the ending, or make it…
