I like that idea.. it totally would've made the show feel less predictable and made Phil a little more likable.

Am I the only one who thinks no beard Phil looks like Ben Gibbard?…

Okay. I get that. And I feel for him when I think about it like that. I just think that he does have some seriously unattractive sides to him when he gets to that point, in a way that I just can't understand how a human could behave in such a way. I can't relate to it at all.

Having no system now doesn't mean he isn't still a product of prior systems. Like you said, he traveled around to collect material objects that have no real 'value' without society, doesn't mean that they're "worthless" I feel he behaves in a way where he feels he can do whatever he wants without considering anyone

This movie was super bizarre but the ending was a total mind fuck. I'd see it just for that. With someone, so you can argue (cause you'll probably disagree).

Not sure if this has already been said, but I'm hoping that others will agree that (a possible reason?) Ida left the covenant was to test her aunt's theory of making her sacrifice mean something? I thought she looked happy in bed with the guy, or at least laughed (and she hardly ever did throughout the film…) I don't

As annoying as Carol is, there's a lovable element to her cringeworthiness kind of like that of Michael Scott or Kelly Kapoor… but I really can't stand Phil… He's mostly just a selfish, lazy, entitled asshole.
