You’ve said that plenty enough. Doesn’t make it any less friggin weird and uncomfortable she’s licking an adult stranger’s ass.

I love every moment of his taunting with that voice. It’s so perfectly condescending and douchey. It fits Ardyn perfectly.

If they had enough money to produce an anime to promote their DLC, how come they didn’t have enough money to make the rest of the DLC?

I agree and I thought FFXV was great as well. There are some obvious missteps with the storytelling, but the story itself was fine and I get why he initially decided to cut content to keep the POV on Noctis. Maybe if he was given MORE time (ha!) to revise once he settled on the POV he could have made it more

I wish all of this was put into the main game. I don’t like paying $60 and then shelling out for necessary plot info.

That’s not exactly how things played out. Nomura was effectively booted off the project for failing to meet multiple deadlines, and Tabata was tasked with salvaging the scraps of whatever Nomura had produced by that time into a sellable product. He did that amazingly well - and not many people could have - but

Spot on. Imo, though, I think Square did have the potential to milk back in their prime(Remember the 90s?!).

I wish they’d made the method of summoning less opaque.

I’m not sure I’d call any milking of an entry in the franchise a “good” thing, though. Look at what happened with The After Years.

Most mainline FF games are solid experiences because they are contained, individual experiences—not meant to be strung out in a series of steadily thinning sequels that eventually cannot

I’m still a bit furious that Hajime Tabata left Square. I assume Square forced him out, because he always seemed genuinely enthusiastic when talking about FFXV. If anyone deserves blame for FFXV* then it’s Nomura. He started the project then just bailed, leaving it to Square to find a new director. Tabata did what he

It’s so weird to see Ardyn speaking in Japanese. It so doesn’t fit him. The English voice acting for him is just so perfect.

Hotter Take: Games Are Unsustainably Big, Actually, and it’s both killing the industry forced to churn out hundreds of hours of Content that 70% of their audience will never, ever see, and it’s murder on the engagement rate of their audience who are asked to do the equivalent of binging a decade of a TV show whenever

I think the main issue is that too many games strive to be huge. I don’t mind huge games, 2 of my favourite somewhat recent games are Breath of the wild and Witcher 3, but i also like me some 20-30 hour experiences. I really enjoyed Spiderman, thought Mario Odyssey was a blast and really liked how Horizon was an open

Ive always been a fan of the idea of “Content Occlusion,” basically the idea that when you experience certain content it locks out other content(for that playthrough at least), meaning you can have thousands of hours worth of content and give your player tons of freedom, but at the same time but you can still get a

I honestly think the KOTOR and Mass Effect games are the perfect length and scope for a story based RPG. 25-30 hours, with enough side quests and exploration to keep it interesting but not so much to feel like a chore. The story is always moving forward and you always know where to go next.  I wish more RPG’s were

Did you really think you could burn Schreier with your l33t knowledges? He’s a genuine journalist in a field where there are relatively few.

I’ll meet you half way. Hot adult take.

Footage of the last 10 hours of my RDR2 playthrough:

More like “Adult Take”!

Considering I saw some demo footage of Beyond Good and Evil 2 the other day and had a panic attack at the scope they’re going for, hearing this is like getting wrapped in a security blanket.
