My parents were big fans so the Gord’s Gold cassette tape was being played all the time in the car when i was growing up. Lotta good tunes that have stood the test of time as well.

I liked it until the escape from Jabba got too slapsticky. Then i liked it again until the ewoks took down the imperials. then i liked the ending.

I don’t really think of the 80s as being “chill”, other than that movie the Big Chill. in fact in the 80s we were so unchill that it wasn’t uncommon for people to be told to chill out or take a chill pill

the idea that teachers should have the expectation that they risk being shot at work is quite something.  but certainly seems in keeping with the direction this country is going in

they have no idea how to move forward with the franchise, its been painfully obvious for quite some time. Getting some reasonably good series/movies about set in time periods between or concurrent with the trilogies is probably the best we can hope for.

it was a nice way of compensating for old cranky Luke in TLJ, but kind of ruined Mando by having the protagonist utterly upstaged in the season finale of his own show. not to mention the whole “everything in star wars must tie into the skywalkers somehow” problem

so... spies plural, right? guessing either the armorer was in cahoots with Gideon (seems dubious) or the “surviving” Nite owls were. either way guessing there will be another shoe to drop next ep as whichever “spies” are now with the fleet will betray them from within. tune in next week...

was hoping D & D would have better legs. but there is a lot of competition . feels like maybe should’ve been released on a different date, i dunno.  otoh maybe plenty were just willing to wait and watch it on streaming in a couple of months
