Wasn’t it produced by Ralph Bakshi? I distinctly remember sequences that were used in Rocket Robin Hood that were reused on the original Spider-man cartoon. (Specifically that guy with the insect skull head - can’t find his picture on the webs.)

Have you ever noticed that the backgrounds are actually 3D sculptures? They were done on a round table and it was rotated for each frame, thats why everything moves and the shadows change. Pretty cool for it’s time.
