In other words, countries shouldn’t negotiate with us, because we won’t negotiate in good faith. Great.

I’m going to pile on now, because I’ve been thinking about this more and because someone (who Kinja is not letting me respond to directly) mentioned that my son is apparently half-white, and his black mother calling him *iglet negates that.
And to be precise, since we should, it’s not correct that half his ancestors have second class status. Of the half you’re referring to, the majority were considered chattel. A smaller subset were second class under the law, and a yet smaller subset were/are subject to treatment as second class in that they face…
“It’s reminding him of half his ancestors having second class status.”
Yeah this. For example, I am not black. My wife is black. Our son is black. She can call him a *iglet as a quasi-term of endearment or in a certain context. I might be able to call him a *iglet in private, but I don’t and wouldn’t, and I definitely wouldn’t do it in public. A stranger sure as hell can’t call him a…
Dill???
What kind of abominable person puts cranberries in mac and cheese?
“Make Valinor Great Again!”
“Oh I’m sorry, you didn’t pay for the ‘non-bodily fluid’ section of the Frontier Airlines flight. Here’s your Hep C shot, that will be $25.”
Agreed. As a point of comparison, there’s substantial disagreement about whether the 1935 Social Security Act’s exclusion of farm workers was racist (farm workers were 65%+ African American) or whether it was utilitarian (no one knew how the heck to register farm workers in the sticks).
Hopefully none, if they can get a preliminary injunction while litigation is pending.
It’s a strawman because that’s not at all what the legal requirement is here.
I know its about the 50th most important thing, but it is infuriating that police reports use passive voice to avoid even the suggestion of liability.
His jersey sales were through the roof after his protest started, and well into the time when he wasn’t even on a roster. Why does the NFL care if some people burn their jerseys? They already paid for them, and the NFL knows full well they’ll buy more jerseys. What are Ravens fans going to watch, Maryland football?
“Should the NFL be legally obligated to hire him because he is “good enough to start” though?”
Give him a break, he’s still basking
This is basically CNN every evening, except with more fur.
I’m sure you don’t want to get into it with the learned elders, but from all of the accounts, the girl in question was completely reasonable and only told him off after he wouldn’t leave her alone. The fact that anyone is blaming her or even suggesting that she has any share of the blame is insane.
I have kind of a problem with their excuse of “we didn’t know the term.” I mean, Gail Simone wrote the essay on women in refrigerators AND worked on Deadpool for chrissakes. But I guess they know now, which is important.
My only disappointment was that they replaced Rila Fukushima’s Yukio from The Wolverine, as she was the best part of that movie, but I can get over it.
