My favorite Daiki Kasho songs, with the exception of What To Believe, are his industrial/techno stuff before he started making rock songs, from the GT3 era and earlier. Mirage, Skyscraper, Glowl...GT7 has reminded me I’m def in the minority on that though.

FM3's probably the only FM I get down with musically, that had solid menu tunes. Also the guitar covers in FM1 are sick.

Too fat, fat you must cut lean

I love Magical Sound Shower but I feel like other equally good Out Run songs always get ignored in favor of it. I’ve also heard it maybe too much at this point.

I really liked the soundtrack from Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit 2, with mainstream songs from folks like Bush etc.

And for those of us who acknowledge Forza:

Super Bon Bon, Super Bon Bon

I realize that this is a list of original songs written for racing games. However, back when Gran Turismo 2 came out, thanks to that game, if either “I’m Only Happy When It Rains” by Garbage or “99 Red Balloons” by Goldfinger came on the radio, I would start to sub-consciously going faster and faster.

No mention of Moon Over the Castle?!?!?! Esp the orchestral version from GT4.

This mutant probably thinks he’s part of some sort of master race, too. That’s the scariest part of all.

Yeah, this is good. Also Daiki Kasho, of GT fame.

Yesss! The main menu goa/psy-trance music for Need for Speed II. Many hours were spent after a night of dancing and afterwards playing the game and listening to this music. That’s some major nostalgia kicking in. Sooo good.

Was ready to tear up this list but it actually is pretty perfect. Ridge Racer T4 has the best soundtrack of any racing game ever made.

I applaud you for bringing an MOTC mix to the convo that I’m not sure I’ve ever heard before.

The song that brings you crashing back to earth after the replay bliss.

I was going to be upset if a game I didn’t remember was not on this list, then I got to R4, that was the memory hole I needed. I just remembered it had some great tracks and vaguely remembered yellow-orange backgrounds/loading screens..

Best one in the Gran Turismo series is “Moon Over the Castle (Orienta-Rhythm Banquet Mix)“ from GT3: A-Spec.

Criminally neglected this absolute banger:
