As someone who got the game at launch, and enjoyed it, but has repeatedly harped on its many flaws. You’re not wrong entirely, but you’re not entirely right either.

So I was one of the like...six people on the planet who didn’t hype themselves to Mars prior to the release of this game
CAN’T BE DONE. CONTENT.
I get some people feel having a difficulty choice is to their liking. But do keep in mind, it’s a matter of personal preference. We all played games with and without difficulty option, and we can’t say it’s better with/without that option, and all games should / shouldn’t have the option, because the option itself…
Nice motive, still eugenics.
Its initial release is in early access, which could mean just about anything.
But the most relevant here. It would have been very weird to compare this particular game to System Shock 2 or Ultima Underworld.
It doesn’t even really look clearly “better”. I mean, more detailed, sure, but some of the original aesthetic seems to be being lost in favour of a more, well, generic, aesthetic.
“The first game is pretty well regarded as the first Western game to really nail a well-crafted serious dramatic story in video game form.”

Am I experiencing some schadenfreude, here? Sure. At the same time, a lot of people got suckered into these scams and their lives (and the lives of people who rely on them) are gonna be pretty fucked as a result of them losing all their money buying goddamn NFTs and whatever.
YESS!
I came across Devil Story after finding a truly demented railer for it on a bootleg VHS of some horror pic in the late 80s and became determined to somehow track it down. There was, obviously, no Amazon those days, and it seemed it had only be released in France and Belgium at that time, so on a trip to Paris I tried…
It’s a single player gacha game
Looks...fine? Jesus, you guys really got a hard-on for shitting on Stadia. Not everybody gets free PS5's and Intel i9 CPU’s. What’s your problem with working-class people getting to play the same games as you without spending $5k on bleeding-edge hardware every year?
Y/M/D is always most logical as it can be sorted correctly when listing files.
Pandora & Amazon Music by name specifically
