If this happened in any of your readers’ “normal” neighborhoods, the community here would be much more likely to rally against this mess, or at the very least agree it didn’t seem quite right. Why the gleeful demonization of “the rich?” My (extremely modest) neighborhood also has private streets owned and maintained

If she wants so badly to be “normal” she could simply stop participating in the reality show, quit getting lip injections, and wear clothes that cover her body. Then get a “normal” job, and so on.

I didn’t miss it. The guy is a disgusting piece of garbage criminal and ought to rot in jail. The woman and the kids are all victims. And also, parents - and adult witnesses in general - have a responsibility to protect their children. I don’t know what this woman’s “health conditions” are or were, but outside of them

One, we aren’t talking about me. Two, the woman in question didn’t “assume” she was raped because she couldn’t remember what happened the night before; she was responding to a witness account of someone who was there when the interaction took place and was concerned enough to make a formal complaint. Three, go away.

I don’t believe that was the first ever opportunity she had to leave. And I do believe that physical and mental/emotional abuse would make someone too scared to act. But I believe there is a point at which witnessing and accepting abusive treatment of a child - your child - and not taking action makes a person

At what point does complacency to your child’s abuse make you responsible?

Men’s Rights!!!

If only there were a ready-made platform for celebrities to monetize the trivial goings-on in their daily lives and inner thoughts without having to invest in custom developing a lifestyle site or mobile app.

2 years and no opportunity to leave, while you are seeing your children abused? It does not add up.

Didn’t the story say they were free in the house but not allowed to leave?

This story leaves me with more questions than answers. When you’re a parent, you take care of your kids. That means not complying with being told that they can’t leave the house or go to school or live in proper conditions. The father is obviously a criminal piece of shit, but that does not explain why an adult woman

I never heard or gathered any racist undertones from the story when it came out.

I don’t know, people sure do love to hate on Sluts™

Prostitution is illegal. I think that covers all sides of the argument.

Agree

Alright, that’s the same as saying if a man leads a woman to believe he loves her or plans to pursue a relationship with her, has sex with her, and then is no longer iterested, that is rape. And that’s ridiculous. At some point we all need to take responsibility for ourselves and our actions.

To be fair, I think it’s either/or, at best. They either stole the service by not paying for it, or they committed assault by not having consent (because no money was exchanged). I don’t think you could say it was both; that’s like a double negative. Further, I don’t think this would qualify as aggravated assault,

Prostitution is still illegal, right? Because in that case, they’re both in the wrong. I don’t care to argue details beyond that.

A male coworker used to come up behind me at my desk, squeeze my shoulders and whisper into my ear. One day I loudly told him to knock it off and he was super hurt, then angry. He responded something indicating I was the one with the problem, for not liking his uninvited workplace rubbing, and stormed off. He was
