I have long thought Eddie McClintock and Owain Yeoman should do a buddy-type series together.

Cat projections... 99.999999% of the holo-bandwidth is being taken up by people projecting cute cat-holograms which means that there’s bugger-all left for the serious messages. That’s why things flicker and have crappy quality.

Here’s a thought: maybe it’s like that to be more universal for the various species that use it. Like, it looks like shit to human eyes, but a Trandoshan doesn’t handle fast-refresh very well, and a Jawa can’t deal with a full-color projection. The Holonet had the choice of segregated channels or simplified single

Only because he was his son in a parallel universe

This all totally checks out if:

Have you seen Ricki And The Flash? It’s a 2015 Jonathan Demme directed 80’s teen movie where the 80’s teens are old and have some life experiences under their belts. Possibly the only movie that would have been twice as good without Meryl Streep. Also the only movie where my eye keeps drifting from Sebastian Stan,

The weird thing is, those “futuristic” outfits on his “crew” rather imply they came from later in the timeline than the 1980s — or even 2016 — given the sci-fi trends of the day. Rick Springfield concert clone from the year 3000 and his crashed time machine, perhaps? (No TARDIS — I just can’t see him as a timelord). ;)

Rick Speinfield is seriously underrated. I recommend his album Tao, which comes after Living in Oz (which is also good and what Human Touch is from).

I feel that a radiation alarm that doesn’t go off until after you have done your dance number and received enough exposure to make you fall down is probably a pretty bad system of measuring the radiation levels.

From an economic point of view it is great. You can now use just one character instead of four to type crap. Or shit. Or poop.

Kingsmen was an excellent Roger Moore era Bond film.

That this was the last Discworld novel:

DROP SQUIRRELS. The enemy was caught completely unprepared.

You got my seal of approval.

And here I was sure his name was going to be Porkins Jr. :-P

It’s also not a completely accurate statement to say Jurassic World beat TFA. Jurassic World opened in China on it’s debut weekend. TFA doesn’t open there until next month. Let’s add those numbers in when it does open and see what we get.

Can we get these statistics with ticket sales instead of dollar amounts? Because let’s face it, increasing ticket prices and fluctuating worldwide exchange rates (let alone inflation) paint a non-comparable picture even in the six months since Jurassic World.

One of the weaknesses in the movie, for me, was his return. Because the movie gave no indication he wasn’t anything but swallowed up in his Tie Fighter. “Oh, I got thrown clear of the crash”. That felt very lame to me. Until he showed up again, I was giving the movie props for having the guts to introduce a major
