I think the TV turned off because they didn't want to show Finn dying onscreen in that alternate reality… (not because they were shielding us from an awesome battle).
I do agree. Lich episodes have a real sense of urgency and doom to them.
I want more crazy Ice Finn. Like seriously. Finn with a real face is so much more…

Is the reason Jake is just a regular dog because it's not a magical world (likely), or could it possibly be because… Jake stayed in the cube with Prismo, so his essence/soul/whatever isn't in Farmworld?

one thing that really bothered me about the episode is, Finn takes the crown and then later we cut to Simon's remains and he still has his crown. Animation error? If so, a glaring one. If it was intentional, that'd be neat if there's some explanation.
