@Arsenio Billingham: Actually, I always thought Steve Martin was gay…
Did anyone else ever watch Kath and Kim? Sometimes I feel like I was the only person in American who made a point to tune in each week…. actually, it was the only show on that night that I watched.
I would watch that 'Gays of Comedy Special'
Just sayin'.

You can be fat and dress well…
Why is being enormously fat apparently a prerequisite to cultivating a 'regular gay' image? At least Michael Moore dropped the windbreakers in favor of slightly more flattering tuxedos… but Kevin Smith still shambles around in get-ups like this: http://www.flickr.com/photo…
Alcott's blog is epic. It's amazing that he actually works in the entertainment industry. Based on his blog, I originally assumed he lived in a basement someplace surrounded by an ever-growing pile of DVDs and Cheetos…

Famous people rendered near-unrecognizable by weight loss… 1. Horatio Sans, 2. John Popper, 3. Peter Jackson…
@All-Start Seaworthy: Nice Wuzzels shout-out. I almost included a link to their opening sequence too. But the Snorks seemed like the more blatant Smurfs rip-off… I mean, seriously, the only thing keeping them from getting their pants sued off must have been some discrepancy in copyright law between the US and Belgium.…

Damn… How many causes is this guy shilling for? He's got more plastic wristbands than a 13-year old middle school girl.
'Bumping uglies' is a terrible phrase.
"No one wants to talk about their sex life"? Wow. Your office sure differs from my past experiences working in a bull pen full of other writers. I'm going to chalk this up to your being a bunch of repressed Midwesterners…
"Come Along With The Snorks!"
I'm holding out for a feature film version of The Snorks: http://vodpod.com/watch/976…

Opening sentence from the "meta" article:
Betty Rubble and Smurfette? I dunno, man… They're nowhere near anthropomorphic enough. Also, I'd be afraid Aeon Flux would rip my spine out or something…
How could you forget Cher is your list of robo-stars? She's deep into the Uncanny Valley these days.
Sigh… Not one comment posted for all too see. Sadpants.

FYI — If, like me, you're too damn lazy to find your remote, you can tune into the Globes online at http://www.ustream.tv/golde…. Nice service, but be warned: the red carpet chatter is INTOLERABLE. Also, your brain might melt reading the real-time comments coming in from facebook. But it's fun to watch the…
Yes to Coverage
I wasn't quite as taken with this show as the reviewer — although I am a huge Venture fan — but I'm probably gonna keep tuning in for a while. I vote for regular coverage. Seems like a perfect fit for the AV Club.
I saw this movie literally two hours ago. I also really enjoyed it. I usually agree with the reviews on the AV Club, but they really didn't seem to like this one at all for some reason. I can take hearing films I enjoy criticized, but I'm also not going to go out of my way to hear three people dump on an enjoyable…
