I don't know why this would be the case for others, but Thursdays are my busiest days at work, so I can't skulk on the AVClub during the day like I might any other day. I do love this show, though, and I enjoy reading everyone else's comments.

Especially not a group of orphans; that would be too similar to what you hear everyday. You'd need a group of death row inmates singing it for it to make an impression, I bet.

It depends on what you like. Sufjan Stevens has two Christmas albums now that's both covers and original material, but that can be a little twee for some people. A lot of the great (for me, at least) "Christmas" songs post AIWFCIY are not huge hits, but you've definitely probably heard them around or on Pandora
