at another horde fest stop (i think it was great woods, but i'm not sure) neil played past curfew and got fined thousands of dollars.  they turned the house lights on during the last song, "rockin' in the free world", and neil went over and just sat down on his amp while ripping a solo.

i watched the acl live webcast.  great set!  i've also seen the global fest on tv, the voodoo fest webcast, part of farm aid webcast, and the bridge webcast.  it's a great year to be a neil young and crazy horse fan.

i'm one of the idiots that ordered the vinyl version, so i'll be getting this in a month or so (hopefully…some jackass stole my mail over the weekend and got my "weld" lp that i bought on ebay).  neil and the horse have been out on the road all summer playing most of these tunes.  great stuff.  "walk like a giant" is…

oh come on now.  the lips were good, jack white was strong, and neil and crazy horse had great sets both nights (acoustic like a hurricane anyone?).  i've seen much worse lineups in past years.  some years are better than others.
