And of course, anarchy is the theme of this show. "No plan survives contact with reality," as someone smarter than I am said once. This show is all about that: despite our best efforts, chaos lurks in every decision, and any feeling of control one might experience is a temporary illusion.

I thought all you had to do was go east on Sunset and stop at Evelyn Harper's place.

You didn't take off your sunglasses when you said that.

An odd title for us in the U.K., given that Essex is a ghastly hole full of awful people with no taste. Think Jersy Shore, but the tans are fake and the accent is even worse.

I know, right? It's a wonder they don't all keel over dead with everything they're eating; but it looks amazing.

The steak and the glass of red wine (I just know it's a really rich Shiraz- maybe a Dead Arm) Cypher eats in The Matrix.
Good, bloody steak and a bottle of wine is just the best.

Why did Hank leave the Blumquist house without checking on Peggy?

And yet no one is interested in rebooting The Quest ; the Legend of the Bodine Brothers. Even though I'm pretty sure Tim Matheson would be all over a guest spot opportunity.

As a denizen of the U.K., I was a little irked by the fatuous illegalities quoted by the judge, despite recognising it as the inevitable snark arising from the fundamental sense of inferiority all you former colonials feel toward us and the rest of Europe.

Since he's basically leaning silently against a wall with his hands in his pockets, I'm not sure I agree. He's honestly not doing much more than taking up space at this point.

I thought he'd ingested some kind of drug that totally changed reality for a brief period. Or, no, wait; he's actually part of a secret government project and they've created a milieu in which he feels most comfortable in order to utilize his unique abilities effectively.

Is he, though? I know that is the popular perception, but despite his at times impressive abdominal deveelopment, he has a wierd looking prognathus jaw and his eyes are too close together. I mean, he's not Tom the Ostler by any means, but he's not that pretty.

San Diego is lovely. I was there a couple of years ago for ComicCon, and had a very nice time.

It doesn't get a lot of love, but The Way is one of my current favorites.
That's Emilio and Martin together; a good combination.

… well, okay then.

". Jason Momoa’s 2011 version was fine…"

Yes! He could do FF as a retro piece, with awesome Jack Kirby tech ,Annihilus as the villain and no fucking origin story.

You think you want that, but you don't.
Trust me on this.

"Shady Plots."
I'm not ashamed to admit I just got that.

He sounds more like someone who grew up on or near the Wirral, like me. It borders North Wales, so the accents probably bleed into one another somewhat. I have no idea where Constantine is supposed to be from, though. Manchester, maybe?
