That doesn't surprise me, because they absolutely nailed the look of the adventure reality show.

I'm not going to watch this trailer because the last couple of times I watched trailers for these (for Sharktopus and Jersey Shore Shark Attack), they totally gave away all of the fun bits.
SyFy is actually starting to ramp down these terrible B-movies after doing them for like 15 years. This and a couple of their remaining flicks are (or have) premiered on a Thursday instead of the traditional Saturday night.
Ditto. I loved Scream Dracula Scream but the gradual feeling of disappointment over RFTC led to me never getting their final two albums and not really getting back into the band until RIP came out a couple of years ago.
I agree with Cookie Monster on this one. Also, I wonder how Shattuck's, um, unique voice will sound singing the Deal songs.
Cold War, too.
@avclub-976e5a7c9f5586745269c99891652285:disqus The key line in that song is the last time he says the chorus, which only helps clear up the confusion on subsequent listens: "I've never had to but I'd better knock on wood"
I loved Sledge Hammer! when I was a kid, but I've never gone back to it. I wonder how well it holds up?
As a regular listener of the Sklarboro Country podcast, it didn't sound Adomian's Jesse Ventura to me.

It's a banner day for Marvel's Avengers franchise, in stark contrast to DC's Justice League project.
One of Goldfinger's best songs. I was also expecting Unwritten Law's "Superman", which isn't nearly as great, but definitely fits the criteria here of mentioning Superman.
I remember "Afternoons and Coffee Spoons" being particularly good, although I haven't listened to that album in years due to me owning it on cassette.
Williams preys on the general public's ignorance of anything beyond the 5-6 most basic pieces of the classical catalog. He's a monster!
He does not! He even creates an elaborate backstory about having met her once in person and then through comment threads here on the A.V. Club before hooking up with her for reals. And the book is being sold as non-fiction, even. Go figure.
It's not, exactly. He has stories to tell about what happened on the road, and although it's often framed through whatever he was on at the moment, it's still very readable. It's more like "These are the weird people I met at the shows and on the Greyhound buses. Somehow I ended up at a suburban home in Buffalo one…
So has anybody else read Nathan Rabin's new book (You Don't Know Me But You Don't Like Me) yet? As a longtime Phish fan and a big fan of his articles about the Gathering of the Juggalos here, I have to say it was pretty great. A few observations:
