I was gonna post a complaint about how weak Team USA were looking against Costa Rica, but the last 20-25 minutes have totally reversed that!

"I don't care what Iron Man says," said Eric "I will never register and they'll never get me to."

"Devil in the Sea" is awesome.

For some reason, I tend to only recognise or remember my name being used if it's in a somewhat unusual context, that causes me to go "Hey! Wait a second. I'm Eric, too."

Maybe it's like John McCain being a fan of The Hills. "Suuure, I watch this thing young people enjoy!"

All of his work is good IMO, though some of it may be relevant more to it's time. I recommend most of his essay collections, and I'd go with Placing Movies and Movies as Politics as great starting points. They were huge influences on my life from when I first read them, probably back in like 2004. His first book,

2. Bergkamp
3. A shirt with three buttons….and khakis!
4. Waking Life
5. The Adventures of Pete and Pete/Buffy the Vampire Slayer/Deadwood

Not much to speak of in USA's favor in the first half. Hopefully it gets better from here.

Copa de Humidity!

OK, that would be good, yeah, but there was that time in 2008 when they convinced everyone John Cena wouldn't be back from injury for another 6 months, then he came out as the last Rumble entrant and the crowd went insane and he went on to win…

I heard jMunney's question on How Did This Get Made? and it was great.

Was the plan to discuss the movies on here, live blog them in chat, or just post as we watch them? If we just want to discuss them with kind of a set date for official discussion or something, we can go ahead and start. We already have two good movies in Purple Rain and Fury Road and after that we can open it up to

Anybody who ever said "If I was playing for a championship, I'd want a backcourt of Shaun Livingston and Leandro Barbosa in there for me," now's the time to pretend you weren't being sarcastic.

#PlutoGate

Yeah, same here. The menu remains on top of the comments section, though.
