Journey to the Center of the Earth is actually one of my favorite books. I recently read a different translation, which was interesting. I think I've read it 10 times since I was a teenager.

I did not like Annihilation. I was supposed to discuss it with my book club last week but ended up in the ER instead, which I think was still better than Annihilation.

I kind of like to see the percentage I've finished - I can tell how much longer it will take me to read, and I can decide whether I will finish the book before bedtime.
