The Indo-Chinese place near where I used to live in CA had a really nice cauliflower dish - it was basically a General Tso's style cauliflower.

There might be some overlap, but they're definitely different things. While some people who've taken vows might be asexual, being asexual is very different from having sexual urges but choosing to ignore them/deny them.

The only asexual character that I know of from a TV show is one of the EMT crew members on Sirens.

Was I the only one that was disappointed that this wasn't actually something sci fi? The cover looks fun, but sounds like the "another world" aspect is more figurative.

Yeah, there's a "don't base recommendations off of this" option.

I'm sure he has people to do his reading for him.

Actually Assange has repeatedly kept Russian documents secret while publishing other leaked documents - the hackers might be Russian proxies, but they're definitely not the only ones.

The Russians *did* hack him and *do* have sensitive information on him - that's the problem. Someone else obtaining and releasing that information takes away some of their leverage.

So, was this not based on some pre-existing line of toys or something? I thought that it had to be, based on the trailer I watched.

I'm sort of surprised to hear Taco Bell and Chipotle compared - in my mind, they're entirely different categories of food. I go to Chipotle if I want guacamole, and I go to Taco Bell if I'm on a road trip and/or want bright orange fake cheese.

I mostly eat Chipoltle for the guacamole. I thought their salsas were ok, as long as you mix a couple - I do the mild and the hot together, so I get some flavor but also some recognizable veggie bits.

I thought I saw somewhere that it's a 4 book series, but I could be wrong about that. I'm with you on Lair of Dreams, but Bray is still an "auto-buy" author for me.

I get why it wouldn't be everyone's cup of tea, but for me, the thinness of the main characters is part of what makes it feel more like a modern fairy tale. They're more archetypes than characters.

I used to think the series was finished, and that every time a new book came out she'd just decided to add something else, but I was reading an interview with her about this latest release and she said she starts writing the next one as soon as the current book is finished - it just takes her a long time to be happy

The biggie for me is the latest Queen's Thief book from Megan Whalen Turner. She always leaves things off in an ok state, no cliffhangers, so I don't get upset about the 4-7 year gaps between books, but when I find out another one's coming up it goes right to the top of my list.

I'm most excited for Thick as Thieves, the newest Queen's Thief book by Megan Whalen Turner. Can't wait!

Kyle Kinane talks about shower beers on one of his albums, which is the reason why I now frequently find my husband's empty red bull cans in the shower.

I have serious doubts about the whole beer/conditioner thing - I really don't think something that could qualify as both could possibly be good as either.

That seems like it has the makings of a decent haiku - just short a couple syllables in the middle.

Ooof…I guess that makes business sense, but you're right, not artistic sense.
