2) I was thinking maybe it wasn't Julian who had the bomb strapped on her. But I guess it must have been him. His surprise was clearly just about how Chaplin had the scapegoat shot. The guy got a major inferiority complex (he was babbling something about that during torturing the COB, I believe…I didn't catch it) and

I didn't like him too much in BSG, either. Then again, as you probably have guessed by now, since I am the only one here coming close to defending him…I am Phil.

I hope Richard Dean Anderson is God.

I'd say season 7 was still a lot better than season 6, which is the one that Tim must have seen. Cas becomes "God" at the end of s6.

@Idran:disqus Doesn't matter if that used to be true, it no longer necessarily needs to happen. Kripke is no longer the boss of this show, for better or worse.

"the idea that monsters have souls and an afterlife makes hunting them a morally gray proposition"
If that is one of your main points being bugged about then I can only tell you, it has always been that way. At least very early on in SPN it became clear that a lot of monsters are not evil by nature. Purgatory might be

Leviathans are the Agents of the Purgatory Matrix. Suit and all.
(If that doesn't match with the lore past the first movie, my bad. You can't expect me to watch the whole trilogy…or even remember the first movie, correctly.)

I guess the point was that Cas was bluffing. It was believable to Crowley, because Cas had just re-appeared from Purgatory which Crowley probably knows takes some divine intervention. It's not as if that hasn't happened before…
He could have assumed that it's possible he was upgraded to archangel in the process. Maybe

You were ok with Crowley snapping that one person (I admit, no idea who it was) into a bloody pulp before repeating it in this episode? And twisting the neck of Kevin's girlfriend was fine?

Sam Carter is God's secretary? Heaven's manager? Or will she be revealed to be God(dess)?
