I'll have to check them out, but I absolutely fell in love with Strand, I spent a good 3 or 4 hours in there just going through the shelves, I ended up with an entire basket of stuff until my friend pointed out that I probably would be spending my rent money on books.  McNally Jackson is another one I am partial too.

Berry Park in Brooklyn is good if you are into craft ales and imports, the rooftop has a great view of Manhattan, the music is solid, and the duck fat fries are amazing.

This show was good, but I recall seeing him at the Black Cat back in April and it was honestly one of the worst live shows I have ever seen.

@Scrawler2:disqus I was somewhat disappointed we never met while I was still living in D.C., but I feel as though we were probably at a lot of the same shows and never realized it.
