"Childish Things etc."
I think I followed much the same trajectory game-wise. To me, the greatest video game of all time was the heart-racing 'Star Wars' vector game that cost 50 cents and allowed no significant breathing time. I had an Intellivision ), and loved my 'Lock 'N' Chase' and 'Burgertime' and I remember

If you're in outer space
Don't feel out of place
'cause there are thousands of others like you!
Others like you!
OTHERS LIKE YOU!

The phrase is "Black don't crack".

"Hero Worship"

I'll go one further BigO—both the B-52's and the Sugarcubes have a similar dynamic to a lot of Japanese and Okinawan folk music, with a gruff- voiced male storyteller doing the verses accented by full throated female choruses and interjections. Add to that the shamisen (or jamisen) which is a kind of hard twangy

As crazy as she was, the manifesto is still a fascinating document:

I think he is, he's just been hanging out a lot with Sun Ra—who died just the summer before him—enough to pick up a few mannerisms. Heaven knows I would.

It was an opal.

I believe he's the guy that played Dr. Evil in the Austin Powers movies.

The Marquise de Sade
One of very few artists of whom I have every track she's done (including White Label club mixes) on my iPod. I was wondering if the AVC's get around to this—Sade albums are like comets or solar eclipses, amazing, infrequent and utterly reliable.

About a year and a half ago I bought a Roku box for like 90 bucks that allows me to stream Netflix to my reglar TV. Excellent sound and often HD quality. Worth every penny—If it weren't for IFC and TCM and a few other things, I'd maybe consider cancelling cable.

Premier samples Charlie Parker AND 'My Life in the Bush of Ghosts'—its practically a sampling…er…dare I say…manifesto?

Louis Cyphre made me do it.

There are two kinds of colobus monkeys—black ones (which are actually black and white) and red ones (which are mostly black and white but also have large red patches). Originally I was going to make the "d" option an orangutan, but I realized that if I had I would probably just be listing Clint Eastwood movies.

Big Money!
No Whammies!

'Tale Spin':

I used to watch 'China Beach' every Wednesday (I think) when I got home from work when I was in high school. I didn't watch a lot of TV then, but Dana Delaney was always such a fox.

Yeah—I'm almost 38. Certain people like Guru will always seem like they are so much older than I am because those 5 years were so much more important when I was 17. Nowadays 43 is even in date range—not that I'm asking out Guru, but you know what I mean.

"Is the Bourne Identity to blame for this?"
