I thought 'The Raven' was really atmospheric - beautifully animated and acted. it might not be a yukfest but you can't deny that this was a very ambitious segment

going to blockbuster and laughing at the hilarious monster shark/octopus/lizard movies (and occasionally renting them) is a beloved sunday night tradition for me and my boyfriend.

Are You Afraid of the Dark was amazing. it was well paced, atmospheric and scary… it never particularly bothered me personally, my parents had already desensitised me by letting me watch Twin Peaks, Alien, The Shining etc

speaking as a chick, i agree that his female characters are realistic. flawed, but realistic. but then so are his male characters, except it seems it's expected that male characters in films should be flawed and layered while female characters are either bitches or doormats.

Ageed with Fire Walk With Me, the last ten or so minutes really pack an emotional punch.
Also the scene at the dinner table. "Nobody sits down to dinner until LAURA WASHES HER HANDS." Really good performances from Wise, Lee and Zabriskie.
