I didn't know either. I am pretty hip to fb and I've talked with a bunch of people who saw this whole season already and nobody mentioned that.

I think they both made mistakes, and they were very human mistakes, and I can understand, even though they tended toward awful. I think some people were frustrated with the show for Francesca seeming like a hapless silly girl but actually I'm beginning to suspect that's Francesca's problem, not the show's. As in,…
I think the thing is, Arnie is always on Dev's side. So when Dev was hopeful, Arnie was hopeful. When Dev is -astated, Arnie is there to tell him why it's good that it didn't happen.
I feel like the literal heart ripped out thing is such a cliche, it's impossible to trace it to a single source.
I agree. Honestly, some people really are close to the MPDG type. I've known several. They are easy to fall in love with. They often haven't developed as many wrinkles of experience/damage/interestingness as some others. Or they've cultivated the ability to seem simple as a social adaptation, or because a history…
Came here to say: Angela Bassett was in "The Jacksons" playing Michael's mom, so it's pretty amusing that she was on his side as Denise's mom :)
"Smart and beautiful in one package!" I think she was thinking it.
Yes, she totally knew. They were gently implying that with her "Brains and beauty; you don't often get both in the same package!" Why else would she be sizing up her granddaughter's date :) I mean, why else would they have bothered to include that line.
I appreciated that her hearing was better and worse inconsistently (I'm choosing to see it that way, anyway). Like she was messing around with different hearing aids with varying success.
Seriously, I came here to commiserate with others about how disappointing this ep was. I really am getting tired of the wooden acting; very few of these people seem like they are actually alive. The magician subplot was predictable. The dating two women subplot was a trope straight out of every sitcom ever; I mean,…
Iiiiiiiii! Wish my radio worked!
I'm a month late, but I came here to say — don'tchall get it?? Maybe this was obvious but I think it's worth calling out: It wasn't just the closing credits - That whole plotline was Bob's Burgers does Dirty Dancing!
"Let's not start that conversation again, Mother."
I like it. It barely works, but that means it works!
It feels like a contractual obligation. We promised to use you in this many episodes. So, here you go. Get into makeup; you've got some apologizing to do
I'm hoping there's a 90 minute version of this episode for Blu-Ray, or equivalent future thing.
Oh but this confuses me. We've seen Will and Whispers touch when not really in the same place, right? Is it just violence that doesn't work? I mean, we've seen characters kiss…ugh
I'm not sure. I felt similarly cheated at the end of s1, like, how did they get here? It's been too long to remember the details, but I do remember thinking
"Maybe some of this will be explained!" But it never was. This show reminds me so much of LOST. It's beautiful, it's intense, it's got a mess of a plot and…
@avclub-4a51fda79bbd54b4e7327dd6559b6c4d:disqus Agree with borednow. I think that party was about a 20% exaggeration. Think back to the dark, dark days of Entourage. It's all based on a weirdly lightheartedly playful real scary world.
Honestly, I've been to more or less that party. It's about 20% exaggerated at most, I think.
