*hears that last part in Gene's voice*

Criswell predicts future plotlines: After a long time of no action between them, she's going to begin a habit of kissing him, but every time, she slaps him after. It begins to gently get on his nerves, and they talk about it, and that's when they become official. And she kisses him without the slap, and then he

^one of the best random throwaway lines this show has ever done.

I don't agree, but I did have to point out it would be called "No Girl."

A thousand times agreed. Enjoyed the Rhonda half, hated the consequence-free (and visceral peeing) jitters half.

Late to the party just to say: Still love this show, and amused by these eps, but the songs have been less inspired. Not only are they less thematically epic and iconic, but the minor-character-has-an-interrupted-song trope is kneejerk obligatory (the Buffy musical, Galavant, and plenty of others I can't recall… I

"Don’t miss Molly Eichel’s excellent piece on Joyce Byers as an unlikely portrait of maternal love and her place in the grand tradition of bad-ass sci-fi moms."

I think if the sex with Noah had been portrayed more gently and gradually, fewer of us would be up in arms. It was awkward and didn't seem very loving. It looked like Alison was emotionally timid and (at first) not really that interested in doing it. I don't know if that was intentional or just how it came out.

Also, I act like that in hot tubs on a regular basis and I'm way older than Alison :)

You mostly just described the premise for "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend", the Emmy-winning show nobody is watching. Also, it's a musical.

Beartato, thank you. The idea that there are women now who don't recognize, and happily promote, misogyny, really disturbs me. Women are not the airbrushed creatures of superstar TV and magazine ads. Wrinkles are what happens when you've lived a life. People can have sex appeal at any age and any gender. Well a

One of the best laughs I've ever had at Bob's Burgers.

Paula was preoccupied. Meaning and meaninglessness in her life. Deferred dreams. And I think she voted for Hillary. She had a lot to deal with right then

Yup, they're playing with that stereotype, but in traditional style, they're messing with it, too. Let's add Xanthippe to the list, too. Similar jokes for all three, similar humanity peeking through the jadedness. It's a tradition that goes back at least as far as Wednesday Adams and Mr Spock.

It's less obsessive re Josh and more clear about Rebecca's need to fix herself. All the side characters are better developed and interesting. Everything's become, um, more nuanced. And the show spends less time on awkward cringe comedy, though it still has a little bit more than I personally would ask.

*weeps for Galavant*
now there's a show that got great just as it ran out of time

Beaming in from the fuuuuture to say: 1, Me too, as a psych BA. 2., and there's the subtle implication that she was stoned back when she had her 6 months in college, because she could recall the exact name of it in her altered state. :)

I know this is an old thread, but just saying, I came here to see if I was the only one who thought this was the best episode yet. (Haven't seen anything more, myself.) It was cleverer than nearly everything that came before it, had more jokes, and more ideas. And the pacing of it, which this show has issues with,
