I may be in the minority here but I thought his physicality especially was just brilliant. Every nervous twitch/facial expression seemed to have a purpose and it was just unlike anything I've ever seen.

He definitely deserves to be nominated. I'm all in on Joaquin Phoenix though. The Master isn't a great movie but he was completely captivating every single second he was on screen.
