DINSDALE!

Way late to the game, but there isn’t a new thread I can post in - I have to add Q/Eliot to that list now. I teared up at “Peaches and plums, motherfucker.” The whole cast is fantastic, and Hale Appleman gets me every time. The show is completely bonkers, and I love every second of it.

I even love Penny 23, I just hope

Margot/Janet’s disguise was portrayed by Kate (Agam Darshi) from Sanctuary!!!

The thing about this show is that the characters are so strong that they read through the cardboard cutout personas they’ve been assigned. I’m glad the show didn’t waste too much time before starting to get the gang back together.

The funniest part is that they are the characters from a comic book written by James Tyberius R. Martin.

Well, Penny 40 is in the Library where Alice is and possibly could be persuaded to help her. I do hope we see him again, although eating the pomegranate cupcake doesn’t bode well for his return to the world. However Hades thought he had a destiny of some sort, but didn’t specify where.

I was just thinking Hale Appleman (Eliot) would be a fantastic Freddie Mercury a few weeks ago. This episode confirmed it.

“A Life in the Day” defs made me cry a bit.

Like Josh said. I have missed so much, didn’t i? Yup.

Thank you for the review. “A Life In The Day” may be one of the best episodes of TV since Person of Interest went off the air.

There is always something tearing those guys apart. They all have their shit to deal with and it often puts them at odds as their priorities crash but like with the Under Pressure song - they are best together.

How did the Magicians become one of my favorite shows that I look forward to every week?

I don’t know what we did to deserve this review, but I appreciate it!

The “Under Pressure” medley was definitely the high point so far of a very strong season. My only complaint was that Fen wasn’t singing. Brittany Curran arguably has the best singing voice of the whole cast.

Why not do it every week? It’s better then 90% shows you recap.

Eliot is objectively the best character on this show, right?

You know...back when I first found the AV Club, it was a TV haven where shows that other major sites wouldn’t review would get proper analysis and shows that had been missed got retro reviews. It’s a shame that this mindset has disappeared. I wish at the least, we got discussion type articles like the site does for

I think that his inborn power of travelling is still working because it’s inborn and that means it works like a magical creature magic but he is human (or at least mostly human). It’s like the difference between vampires (transformed humans), fairies (actual magical creatures) and gods (owners of the source) - all

The Darmok and Jalad at Tanagra stuff between Eliot and Margo was fantastic.

I just binged the first two seasons (after reading all the books) and caught up in time for the premiere. Sad that this won’t be getting regular coverage!
