You can watch the press conference on the Cannes website. It's pretty typical von Trier—a sort of gleeful hubris mixed with anxiety and exasperation. Some of the members of the press do seem legitimately outraged and it's kind a fascinating head-slapper in a lot of ways. I certainly don't love all of von Trier's

Blood Freak
is a truly astounding film. An anti-drug picture featuring a man who is bribed with pot to eat some experimental turkey meat. He turns into a turkey. He then murders people. This is all bookended by a chain smoking narrator who is overcome several times by disturbing coughing fits.
