That’s federally illegal. You can report the tag number to the EPA, and generally (well they used to before CheetoMan) they will hand out a hefty fine if there is proof(dash cam).

That is exactly what it was and exactly what I said: people figuring out how to not get gouged. :p
Classy instead of trashy.
Yup. People don’t like getting gouged, makers didn’t like people finding ways to not get gouged.
Multiple Federal agencies have fined VW billions and billions of dollars, not to mention the civil suits, while Takata got off with criminal fines that were only several hundred million, and the majority of a settlement going to automakers. And GM was fined a hair over one billion.
While I’m sure GM certainly didn’t intend to kill anyone, they did, and they weren’t really to forthcoming when the fault was exposed (i.e. attempts at covering it up).
The S2000 is superior to the miata in about every way. I love the miata too but they don’t really compare. Just the S2000 chassis construction is miles ahead. The suspension is better as is the engine.
And no punishment for the people involved in the GM ignition switch cover-up that I know of (that actually killed a bunch of people).
If only we had the balls to punish US execs in this manner. All show and no go.
I wonder if she’s 25 years old. You know, for safety and emissions reasons.
Ask Patrick. He got jailed for speeding in Virginia.
I mean one of those cars was imtended to win a 3.5 mile drag race in france.
Some other noteworthy evidence:
But thats the joy of the S2000! you can reliably rev it to its 9000 rpm redline over and over and over and its a glorious sound! I would rather have a high reving NA motor any day over a low rev high torque with the same HP. Its so much more rewarding to drive
No political will.
I hope they bring back how easy they were to transform. Someone got a Bumblebee for my son a couple of years ago, and I think transforming it from robot to car was the hardest, most frustrating thing I’ve ever done. I fantasized for months about beating a hypothetical toy designer to death with a tire iron. I can…
Pickups lifted to a illegal level with open exhaust shooting into cars and the rear window covered with a flag. But, a car with all the safety equipment is illegal.
I don’t know about the design being necessarily bland. I would argue that it was the last Honda designed by the engineers. The next year they released the 7th gen Civic with MacPherson struts, because the accountants got to make the decision.
Congratulations, Mr. fourvalleys and Mr. Rickster3rd, on shared COTD! I would like to gift you with a Nissan Skyline which this lovely lady will deliver when she finishes her laundry.
WTF? Even if it came with -100k miles, that’s still ridiculous in car-pricing physics.
