If you decide to come to Stockholm, I happen to live here and I can point you to the nicest museums and things to do. There's also affordable overnight ferries to Tallinn, Riga, and Helsinki. I recommend Tallinn, because it's a small, cute city that really only takes a weekend to explore and see everything.

Sounds like your husband is depressed, because napping that much isn't healthy or normal. If you were interested in helping him, for your kids' sake, I'd force him to have a full work up at a doctor's office just to make sure that there's nothing life threatening going on there.
