The honeymoon only lasts so long. The only thing that solidifies a nontraditional market team is winning a playoff round. It wasn’t so long ago the vultures were circling Nashville.

Lukewarm take.
I’m pretty sure other GM’s are gonna be less interested in making side deals next time. Other teams will still be stuck protecting players on no move clauses and dealing with the cap so there will still be plenty of opportunity for Seattle’s GM to find gems.
It’s important to ask, why SHOULD expansion teams be bad? ‘They always have been’ is a poor justification. You are selling a sport in a new market. It behooves you to give that new market something worth supporting not 82 games of misery.
Cue Dennis Green’s ‘They are what we thought they were, and we let them off the hook!’ soundbite.
Bless comrades toadette, waluigi, and yoshi.
Adding this to my subscriptions as soon as comixology will let me.
Love to go to the former action park in the summer and pretend none of this shit happened.
Definitely needed to be cut. The Gascoigne fight was an important tutorial for the gun parry.
I haven’t seen hamburgers so angry since mayor mccheese was impeached on trumped up charges of sexual assault by birdy that the the damned fry guy lobby financed. I don’t know how district attorney grimace can sleep at night. Mainly because he’s amorphous purple goo.
See also Glendale Coyotes.
A big part of this is that it’s the first expansion draft after the implementation of the salary cap plus the advent of no move clauses.
Our only comfort is that one day we will die and this team will no longer be able to hurt us.
Capitalism is bad. But since we’re stuck with it maybe developers should spend less on shit literally no one asks for or notices. Looking at you ‘animating every individual hair on lara’s head.’
Maybe don’t animate every stand of hair next time? That’ll save a few dollars right there.
The problem is a tidy profit isn’t good enough for the executives. The ceo’s 4th yacht isn’t gonna buy itself.
I’m very excited to see which blue chip player they trade for a sack of magic beans this year.
I’m sure he’s perfectly happy playing in Edmonton.
At this point I almost want them to relocate if only to free me from this prison of hate and depression.
It was a negotiation. That’s why they got the 8 years they wanted and he gets 12.5 million a year.
