I am somewhat paranoid of the guy that paid for the oil changes and got none. Every time I get a part replaced I ask for the old part back. I also check the oil as soon as I get the car back to make sure it’s less murky. But I am sure the oil change stories are pretty common everywhere

I don’t understand why people freak out at the idea of wrenching your own car. You don’t even “have to know much about cars”, just have some tools and download a repair manual. Apparently people think cars are these super complex machines with millions of nuts and bolts that are impossible to turn loose or god-forbid…

These checkpoints are complete BS. Do we really need to take off our shoes and our belts???? That simple change alone would save precious time. They have multi thousand dollar equipment that I’m pretty sure can tell the difference between a belt buckle and a weapon as well as a regular shoe from a bomb shoe.

Depends on each vehicle. Usually on a timing belt replacement, the cooling system is flushed and cleaned and the water pump is replaced.
