WARNING: MOTIFS POSSIBLE, PARENTAL DISCRETION ADVISED

I watched All About Eve last night for the first time. It's magnificent! I now wish I had Addison DeWitt's hat and cigarette holder. And his acerbic wit!

That's no way to talk about the Holy Father!

Mr. Jefferson, the word is actually "uneditable." Not "ineditable."

Hang in there, Spicy! And you're right, people SHOULD PICK UP THEIR GODDAMN TRASH!!!

I like that movie. Lloyd Bridges plays Senator Homer Ferguson (R-Mich.)!

You magnificent bastard.

I'm ENFJ too! Judging by the specific examples you mentioned, I assume this means that I'll either become a Disney princess or the Pope.

I had an idea for a Carmen Sandiego movie starring Philip Seymour Hoffman and Rachel McAdams as mismatched ACME agents on her trail.

Yes indeed! Great old ballpark. So much character. And the Cubs won!

"Look out, Johnson! Johnson's gaining on us!"

I started the Too Much Johnson thread, starring Orson Welles as Thaddeus Johnson, Joseph Cotten as Angus Johnson, Agnes Moorehead as Lorena Johnson, George Coulouris as Archibald Addison Johnson, and Harry Shannon as Crazy Bill Johnson.

I returned from my Chicago trip on Sunday, and as I mentioned over on the Weekend Q&A, I want to thank all y'all who gave input and suggestions. The vacation was a rousing success!

I just read over on The New York Times that some folks in Italy rediscovered a formerly-lost Orson Welles film called Too Much Johnson.

As far as I'm concerned, Jean-Luc, you just won yourself all of this year's Internets.

Ed Helms ONLY takes yeggs what's been to college, ain't that right, Miller? HAHAHAHAHA! I'm joking, of course.

"Sure they got the Braves, but it's a third-rate symphony!"

You outdid yourself with the JFK write-up! Though if I'm being perfectly honest, I'll probably end up buying that Super Galactic Special Edition, because I'm a sucker, and I want all that crap.

And know what else? (I know this complaint is many years too late, but oh well.) It always miffed me that the deaths of Lupin and Tonks come across as so half-assed, which, in a way, they were I guess. "By the way, Lupin and Tonks are dead too. See? Their bodies are lying over there."

Mother Edens and I just got back from our Chicago trip, so I want to thank all of you terrific A.V. Clubbers who provided wonderful insights and suggestions. Everything, from my first bite of a Lou Malnati's deep-dish to my first sighting of A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte, from the river
