If you like auctions visit a Ritchie Bros. auction. Its unreserved, organised, and lots of fun. They auction off the occasional car but specialize in industrial, agricultural and transportation equipment. All auctions are open to the public and free to visit.

Agreed! Max = F1 excitement

I am deeply saddened by this news. Canada will most likely follow the USA in this decision and I will no longer be able to drive a new Golf SportsWagon TDI. BMW 328d Touring is overpriced, what will I do?

This car is for the most stylish of dictators, the very best pimp, maybe even a gangster gone rapper....

That is a very German thing to say when they speak English.

Great article! Do you think VW will ever sell diesels again? Do you think Canada will follow the US?

Thanks EPA!

hypocrisy at its best...

Can we all move on now? Big powerful corporate America made an example out of “ze germans”. Diesel bla bla bla... there are many trucks and cars on the American roads that do a lot more damage to the environment than those VW’s will ever do and no one is complaining about that... hypocrisy at its best!

How can one call themselves “activists who really care about the environment” and consciously buy a diesel? I am upset I was too late to buy the diesel and had to settle for the TSI. These folks should not have bought a car and take public transportation if they are so “concerned” about the environment.

TDI’s are selling for the same price second hand in Vancouver BC. I have seen young Jetta TDI’s sell for more because of the sales ban.
