This “plan” isn’t actionable. They’ve got a rough idea of what they think will help. They have nothing even resembling an actual plan.
I didn’t see it mentioned in this article so I thought I might share another environmental impact. Some species of animals are drawn to the salty smell/flavor, which is why they are hanging out near the road. This is according to the forest service in Maine in reference to moose accidents.
would be better if more places trusted their employees and let them work from home. my job i know can be done at home, have done in the past, but they wont let us unless you have a doctors note.
Ha! I wish that was true for Canada. Sadly, in this part of Canada, they salt the shit out of everything.
To be completely fair, though, saving human lives in almost any way takes a major environmental toll.
In Canada we use sand rather than salt. Salt doesn’t work when the temperature gets too cold. Sand provides traction at all temperatures and isn’t as harmful to the environment or your vehicle. In the spring, the sand is swept up and reused.
I like to bring my own single use plastic bags into the store.
Yeah! Take that, data! You are no match for my preconceived (and ill-formed) opinions!
One of your own writers already covered why trophy hunting was a good thing a while back:
It’s not like he does anything good on purpose.
I’m glad this area is getting protection, as we’ve literally never looked back at your history and thought “man, I wish we’d have protected the environment less back then.”
Or, instead of picking up your dog’s shit in non-biodegradable bags you could buy biodegradable pet waste bags. Here’s a link:
I see your ban ban and raise it a ban.
Recycle the bags when done. Or use washable bags. No brainer.
Compost and recycle fool.
Having lived in Chicago (still have a home and pay taxes there), I’ve watched as Chicago utterly bungled recycling. Remember blue bags, anyone?
I always thought this when we changed over, now we just have these bigger, thicker bags in the garbage dumps? is that better? At least I can get aids and infect someone ruining their life forcing them on drugs for the rest of their life and having to tell their future partners about their status and all I get is a…
Tell that to Chicago. They’re telling people that grocery bags fuck up the recycling plant, so you can’t throw them in.
They’ve had entirely too many bans, writen on entirely too many plastic bags. Therefore, they are banning bans until further notice.
