King himself was homophobic: look at how he marginalized Baynard Rustin.
Johnson was a racist how? He was a pragmatist first and foremost, he knew that winning takes sacrifices and the sacrifices don’t stop until you have won.
However I don’t think having behind closed doors meetings and then declaring, “he seems alright to me!”
These guys won’t care about the truth. They have their “narrative” and narrative is far more important than truth. It’s the whole problem of critical race theory and its going to kill the movement again.
King’s legacy was not a radical one. He butted heads with radicals all the time, Malcolm X and Stokely Carmichael inparticular.
Malcom X precipitated the downfall of black folks in the 1970s and the rise of toxic masculinity in black men. The same toxic masculinity that helped kill the Great Society.
If you are not actively resisting racism you are enabling it.
It’s just an argument to, as I mention in this article, displace the conversation and put the focus on something else.
When a black person offers a polite critique on something a white person has done, and said white person calls the critique an ‘attack’ or says the black person is being ‘racist,’ that too is a form of white violence, used to deflect and derail.
And he realized that the U.S. government is the “greatest purveyor of violence in the world today.”
This move is the latest shot in the recently revived culture wars, in which campus conservative groups and state legislators have railed against professors, groups and courses that challenge conservative views on race, gender and sexuality.
I don’t hang out with nerds.
Actually it wouldn’t load. Strangely enough it won’t take a URL either...
Lol white person does one touchdown dance and suddenly its on par with the shit Cam and O’Dell do. White people really are held to a higher standard by you folks.
7. Racists will be empowered.
We’ve known about the Root. Y’all just kept us out to enhance your thought bubble.
When disagreement = proving your point, maybe you need to interrogate the point you were trying to make. Is it so far beyond black people to wonder if their narratives may not be the same thing as truth?
So you link back to the article? How ‘splainy.
You are exceptionally dull. I’ve read you on this site and Jezebel so much. You have never interrogated your own narratives have you? You just regurgitate so much crap, and when a white ally shows up you can’t help but try to subjigate them with your narratives.
