@tomsomething: Yeah, i just know there has to be some way to convert the heat directly into energy somehow therefore eliminating the hack of just moving it around. Unfortunately, we haven't found a good way yet.

It always amazed me that there wasnt a way to somehow make refrigerators generate energy. I mean, basic physics, why cant we somehow convert the heat energy inside the fridge into electrical somehow (therefore cooling the fridge and producing energy). @taniquetil: Wouldn't that primarily apply to the, i believe its called, mirrored arrays (the ones for data redundancy or faster drive seeking)? Since we've come out with drives with over a terrabyte, i haven't had the need to mess with it myself, so im way behind on this.
