I would suggest using that boost on a second character if you make one. Your first character should play through all of the story (for good or bad) in my opinion. You’ll probably be lost at some of the references later on if you skip the Year 1 story.

Wow, this is the first non-indie game I can think of in the past few years that has actually moved up a published release date.

Its looking more and more like I need to just lock myself to my desk for at least a month starting in mid-Feb for the amount of games/DLC coming out in the second half of Feb.

Not in so many words, but they could try to dismantle the actions taken over the next year or two. It will have to be fairly piecemeal though in all cases.

Supposedly it is so any run-offs, recounts, etc. can be completed in times for the new year. In practice, its mostly just tradition at this point.

They started development around 5 years ago. The game that got released was the third internal attempt at a game with the IP. If they had gotten it out at a reasonable time frame for game development that doesn’t require a new engine (like 2 years ago), they might have gotten more off of the main IP’s fanbase.

This is the second flop in a row they were involved in. The publishing side of the company also publish Raid: WW2 made by a company that worked on Payday DLC. That game flopped so bad it killed the studio and has a current average playerbase of less than 25 on a good day after being out maybe half a year.
