Vast improvement over the first attempt on basically all fronts. All engines lit, and burned cleanly - didn’t watch the official stream because it was only available on Nazi-Elon’s tweeter - and some of the footage broadcast by NSF looks pretty friggin amazing.

I justify my desire for SpaceX to succeed by telling myself that every success they have is despite Musk’s involvement outside of his money. I can hate Musk, the man and still wish for SpaceX success.

Or lean into it, and hire a director that knows how to set the right tone for the project like they did with Joe Johnston and the first Captain America movie.

The new generation of rockets, including Starship runs on a lot cleaner fuel than say the Falcon 9 which runs rocket grade kerosine. Most of the new gen either run on liquid oxygen and liquid hydrogen or liquid oxygen and liquid methane.

Really would like a complete pause on all superhero related films for a year or two. Seems we are overly-dependent upon them to distract us from things that our real-life leaders should be working to solve. But if distraction was the mission all along, then, mission accomplished o_O

Yup. As much as I love Black Widow and think her storyline did her dirty (and I really do), they really need to keep moving forward. Going back to the OG team smells like panic and pandering.

Stage Separation would be the most likely place for a failure, especially with the big shift to hot staging. Here’s hoping it makes it through, and the first stage isn’t too badly damaged by it.

Pretty much this. And it depresses me that the worst opening ever for Marvel still handily beat the opening of Dungeons and Dragons, which was the best time I’ve had in the theater all year.

I thoroughly enjoyed it! Laughed out loud at several points. It was a fun time and a refreshing movie to watch after some of the recent lackluster MCU outings.

And Ant-Man 3 made 215 million domestically so I don’t see how either of those are considered underperforming

You know what’s a shame? I watched it last night and it’s an absolute blast. Definitelt not among best but was really supremely fun, Iman Vellami is a fucking delight, and it includes what might seriously end up being my all time favorite sequence of the whole MCU

*Captains Marvel

A shame really because it is a solid Marvel movie.

I do love a good melancholy ending.

That might have been my favorite hour of filmed Marvel content ever. It was just so wonderful on all levels. And this recap nicely summed up why.

I’m going to give you the benefit of the doubt and just assume that you’re not so stupid that you believe what you said and are just trying to get some attention from other human beings in the only way that works for you.

WTF? The green vs blue has a meaning. Blue means it went through iMessage and is fully encrypted end to end. Green means it’s an SMS message and, as such, NOT end to end encrypted. I’ve gotten green bubbles from people on iPhones when data connectivity isn’t good. It’s not necessarily about calling out ‘iPhone’ vs

I pretty much disregard these early hot tokes for any movie...but...

Actually, it is pro-CHOICE, not pro-abortion. I don’t think anyone wants there to be a need for abortions. What we want is the ability to make our own decisions when faced with pregnancy. Please don’t adopt the language of Right to Lifers. That is part of how they sold their snake oil for so long.

So, it should tell you something about the state of the Democratic Party that this man is presently polling ahead of President Biden in key swing states.
