Hey, my childhood home movies are solid 70s. I was the cutest baby.

So, 3/100?

I know ;_; Christmas is my fancy-new-electronic toy day!

Goddamn it. I've the first iteration of the 3DS, and this seemed like the perfect chance to upgrade with the help of Christmas money. Now I'll have to use that money on something useful! Come on Nintendo!

Yup, no shit.

Making some dudes' faces into Kiss is something a lot of us have done, probably.

It was "The Monster of Mexico" that did it for me. Y'know, I was vaguely aware that all those basic representations of different cultures were wrong, but when suddenly they were in an odd, unrecognisable version of my country, shaking maracas and wearing sombreros, I couldn't handle it anymore.

There is much indeed we share with Slowpoke/Yadon. We too have problems getting up in the mornings, and wish we called stay forever in bed. We too have the potential to evolve into something better but sometimes we don't feel like it. And sometimes we produce things like "Human Centipede" and look at people biting

I will have Yan-Yan-Ah-Yaan stuck in my head the entire day. This was the best thing to start the day with, thanks Brian!

Yes, it always gave me the impression that he knew how the game ends - not the literal game, but his own. He knows his destiny, is resigned to defeat, but at least he will give a good fight and go down with style.

Thank you! This is all very interesting, I feel I'm learning a lot today :3
(btw i don't know how to approve your post. Sorry.)

I lie the short shorts just fine, tbh she looks kind of badass, like she was working out with Wii Fit Trainer and it got too hot because she was totally breaking her own records. I might just make this my Samus outfit.

I still find Wind Waker's Ganon to be the most badass of them all. Sure, he's got less detail, no armour to speak of, less jewels in his head... but he doesn't need them. He's self-sure enough to take over a legendary sub-acuatic city, open his heart and talk about his feelings, and beat up little kids, all in a nice,

Thanks! That site is awesome! Although I'd say some of the discussions there support what I said about the exoticized PoC body. Also that mediaevals loved anal sex. *follows tumblr*

(double post, I think?)

I always found it interesting that Japanese art didn't erase black people like a lot (if not most) of contemporary European art. There's a big collection of Japanese triptychs in Lisbon Museum of Artique Arts and I was surprised to find depictions of black men working, attending the whites - I'm guessing they were

just what I was thinking - "When are their legs going to start spinning around in funny dances?"

Thank you! Why does everyone forget that bit? I think in the Hobbit Gandalf makes it quite clear that while the eagles are nice enough to get them out of trouble (and only every now and then) they have no obligation to do their work for them and they are kind of above this mess. They don't obey Gandalf or any

I just checked and you're right, in ancient Greek it has two ἰ and should therefore be closer to Aigis. But all translations I have of the Iliad have it as Aegis - maybe to indicate a slight difference in sound from the first ἰ to the second, stressed ἰ? No idea.

I can sort of understand the change from Fallos to Pharos, if on,y for the reasons above (or, "let's make sure his name doesn't sound like 'dick'"). But yeah.p, Aegis to Aigis is a terrible choice.
