Hiroshi Teshigahara (rewatch of THE FACE OF ANOTHER and first watch of ANTONIO GAUDI) and multiple viewings of LAST YEAR AT MARIENBAD. A lot of COMMUNITY.

Also KOYAANISQATSI

^^Look at the idiot that forgot to mention UNE FEMME MARIÉE, LE VENT D'EST, LOTTE IN ITALIA, VIVRE SA VIE, LA CHINOISE, 2 OR 3 THINGS I KNOW ABOUT HER, and L'AVVENTURA.

<3 SWEET MOVIE <3

Only the most tangentially related but I'm responding here because this post is what reminded me: Alvin Lucier's work always gets me going, the classic I AM SITTING IN A ROOM with its consistent rhythm of the patterns of that specific repeated speech always has me in a groove where I feel like there are no limits

Oh man, THE GAME…

I'm just gonna have to marathon THE KNICK once I finish four films that were highly recommended to me. Speaking of Soderbergh, next up on the list you gave me is CHE and I'm very excited as it has been too long since I've seen something with Benicio del Toro.

Mine are: LAST YEAR AT MARIENBAD, NIGHT MOVES (2013), L'ECLISSE, and THE INFORMANT!.

Watching LAST YEAR AT MARIENBAD two more times got me thinking about this: What film(s) do you consider "perfect" (TV shows (or just a season or episode of a show) are applicable if you feel like it)?

Death Grips (which is music for all occasions for me), Etron fou leloublan, Kengo Iuchi, and whatever noise I'm really feeling at the time (Merzbow's Merzbeat is a great one and is a lot less noisy/more rhythmic than what he usually does)

"There's the gnawing feeling eating at Michael that perhaps the world truly is hollow. Or maybe it's just his insufferable entitlement and solipsism that have soured his life."

That first time that he says "..they could just as well be you and me" in MARIENBAD is better than most things maaaaaaaaan

Holy fuck I am actually drunk enough that I accidentally cut my finger on a can I was trying to crush and then used my lighter in an attempt to close the wound. I had already typed this and then tried the lighter thing two more times. I guess it's time to watch LAST YEAR AT MARIENBAD again.

Man I'm still crying about that

>not just calling it safe and using RuT

D:

Who else has seen films by this guy? Which film(s)? What did you think?

Hey you guys I just watched THE FACE OF ANOTHER for my second time and I can't fucking believe this Hiroshi Teshigahara son of a bitch and his ability to use the inherent strength in the concept of the avant-garde to communicate his ideas. This motherfucker is already a lock for my top three directors and that means

'Twas a great film my man, I really dug it too.

Good point, it is great enough that it should be legal to have consensual sex with those sequences
