Leaving the lumia 920 out with the excuse of only comparing to 'phones people are actually going to buy' is biased, and should have been included to at least pretend this 'study' was something worth reading. Crappy article about a crappy camera/phone.

I hope this isn't accurate - the three buttons on the same side makes it impossible to use the majority of holders out there without blocking one of them. Engineers don't seem to use the products they designed...

Please stop calling these holograms - that stupid marketers do it, I can understand, but Giz shouldn't spread the BS.

Better yet, install the translator app, which will be included in bing search later, but for now is a separate app. You'll be able to translate live camera feeds, or even voice: http://www.windowsphone.com/en-US/apps/2cb7cda1-17d8-df11-a844-00237de2db9e

Kinect video currently works with messenger accounts, but I expect xbox to have a skype app in the future.

Don't fear Jesus ...

Actually we already owned Samsung Focus (4 of us), and a Samsung Focus S. I was upgrading because in the end I got $15 back for it, and assumed the upgrade would happen. My next line to renew will do it only in february, so I'd probably have waited.

They announced windows phone 8's core was already tested on 64 cores I believe. It seems the platform will really be much more future-proof, as much as it can be.

Maybe you're right, but if your app doesn't use any new resources, I can compile it to run on 7.8 as well. However, the US market specifically is a bit funny, with all the discounted phones, so not many people would stay with their old phones at renewal time anyway.

I understand the technical limitations of trying to keep compatibility with older devices, but what pisses me off is Nokia and Microsoft not disclosing this earlier. I should have been able to make an informed decision before buying my Lumia 900. I guess this is still better than doing it like Apple and holding the
