research grants are a thing, right?

You're not evil, you're just not right. Solar and wind make up most of the new power generation coming online in the US the last couple of years. PV prices have reached parity to with fossil fuel prices, and are dropping like a stone.

one enterprising tinkerer is working on converting a busted Tesla battery into the future of home energy.

"It's 'Oh my god! You're a ski-racer' or 'You help the animals.'"

Maybe, but like a 10-year stopgap.

Since they can carry both power and video, is there any chance that this will streamline monitor cabling as well? I'd love to not have multiple cables coming out of the back of my screen if my computer has the ability to do both power and content through One Magic Cable.

It reflects the animal too... not just the environment... :D hahaha

Ehhhhhh, I like having the option to use my phone while it's charging and I could never go back to a normal charging speed after having my Note 4 charge as fast as it does. I can see how that would alleviate the annoyance of having a port door though, just not for me.

"Most of the people in the video, at least, seem to be taking the joke in stride."

Two virtual reality controllers. Two wall sensors. Two touchpads on the Steam controller.

I was just emphasizing how much I hate delays by picking a ridiculous yet arbitrarily small number. But to comment on your comment, if the picture delay is 8.3ms, then they can make the sound delay match that, and you're all good. haha

Why? Because she's the democrat, and the alternative would be a vote for a literal evil person.

The real problem is that the supplement industry in particular is regulated by exactly nobody as far as I can tell, and they pour out a hell of a lot of lobbying money making sure it stays that way. Of course, they have a lot of lobbying money because people are ignorant/desperate to pour out their billions to buy

Regardless of the flaws in any of these regulatory bodies, imagining a world without an FDA or EPA is absolutely frightening. We can criticize them for this or for that and we as a society need to be ever vigilant of any serious corruption therein, but to act is if getting rid of them altogether is a good idea is

But...but...tyranny! "Job-killing" over-regulation! Government overreach! Sometimes the Tree of Economic Liberty has to be watered with the blood of a couple of suicidal fatties — just ask Rand Paul.

Except for the fact that more than half of seniors think medicare coverage is excellent and it's cheaper than private insurance.

I would much rather have an institution that oversees corporations than expect those corporations to look out for my best interests. Those corporations are beholden to their shareholders and the bottom line, if they have to give me shitty service, or compromise on quality in order to do that, they've shown every

"Oh, when a Democrat took the white house. Nevermind."

The conclusions here seem misguided. The tone of the article implies that sound quality is suffering due to tech advancement...but it sounds more like sound quality has remained about the same, but we are now getting a lot more bang for the buck. This is particularly true when you consider that $300 in 1981 (30 years
