Better? Because this is exactly how it’s phrased on her own damn website.

You seem to be conflating experience with political experience.

If those were the only issues that the POTUS ever dealt with then I wouldn’t feel comfortable with supporting the Greens or Stein. But I’m pretty sure that the POTUS deals with a lot of issues, particularly of foreign policy importance but also (through the process of nominating Supreme Court justices) all kinds of

It’s a shame that remakes get such hate, because I really, really liked Let Me In. For me, it captured the underlying sadness of the book much better than the original did, though that might be something that was lost in translation.

Gawd, Stoker is such an underrated, excellent movie. Everything about it is unsettling, right from the word go.

“Empty” is how I’d describe every X-Men film to date, with the notable exception of the very first one. Try as I might, I just can’t get into any of them. They’re good “put it on in the background while I’m doing something else” or “put it on when I’m a little high and half-drunk late at night” movies for me.

Now it won’t be the same with every relationship but for me and my wife, good communication has only made our bond stronger.

Hey there, Dead In Bed - Harris’ advice is spot-on. I have (very recently) initiated a divorce after 8 years in a relationship and 6 years of marriage with my wife, whom I had a very similar relationship with. We have always been very tight friends, good partners, etc.; but our sexual relationship has always been

Maybe a minority opinion, but the FX and the ghosts are the most interesting looking part for me. I love how colorful it is.

I’ve had the second worst day of my whole life today, so it was nice to get some catharsis at the end of it. It was excellent to finally see one of the most pivotal lines in the whole series (“I am the first storm, and the last”) finally portrayed, and given the gravitas it needed. Christ, that’s right up there with

Would condemning them to death be the same thing as kinslaying?

There’s no way their cousin would’ve let them live after killing his father.

Dorne’s an independent principality, not a kingdom.

Whoops, yeah.

Littlefinger could have helped Stannis with reinforcements and money to keep the troops that ran away and he would have steamrolled the Boltons. Instead, he just let the Boltons wipe out Stannis and reinforce their position in the North.

And then after everyone hated Dorne so much, they just cut their losses.

So why Sansa? Either Martin is intentionally making himself miserable by writing a character based on the trope, or he’s making a point about what would actually happen to a damsel needing to be rescued when the world doesn’t work that way.

I don’t understand how it doesn’t make sense. I mean, it does require a little hand-waving, but so does the book version.

In theory, I think Show:Doran’s planning makes a hell of a lot more sense than Book:Doran’s does. In fact, I think the show had a better idea for what to do with Dorne than the book has so far.

Yes and No. Winterfell, the Vale, Lannisport, Harrenhall, the Riverlands, etc., all have their own Lords Paramount, but all of those Lords Paramount answer to the King.
