Except... the AMPTP didn’t budge on anything related to AI. By all accounts, they refused to entertain any of SAG’s counterproposals. They entered these talks expecting SAG to bend the knee like they always do, but they didn’t. Hence, strike.

It’s kind of amazing to see the AMPTP going full mask off between this and the ‘we don’t care about negotiating, once they’re homeless they’ll cave’.
You think they’d at least *pretend* to care to garner public support.
Didn’t we have an entire lawsuit about taking someone else’s likeness and using it? Y’know, BTTF2, Crispin Glover, which very specifically the SAG won and thus started including clauses against actors’ and actresses’ likenesses being used without the actor person who's face it was being involved and paid? This was…
How about we just replace Hollywood Executives with AI? They are already inhuman morons that can only copy the original ideas of other more talented people, so why not just cut out the middle man?
‘I already forgot what happened in episode 4'
I’m going to agree with a lot of this — I mean, look it’s Carol Kane....for like 3 scenes in the first ep and then a bigger role in #3 but in the past, and we’re halfway through the season already. Also, this whole thing isn’t as good as last year’s Vulcan Hijinx, although it’s hard to top the comedy of doing a body…
I really loved the moment, late in the episode, when Mount is bring a tray of something or other over the others, and something else happens that clearly raises the tension in the room, and he silently adjusts his course and ends up just looping back to his kitchen.
Oh yeah, the way the show is handling her character has been wonderful. But I worry that by creating this rift that they’re so focused on creating a conflict that divides them (so that he can explore romance with Chapel) that they won’t properly address T’Pring’s very legitimate reason for being upset with him.
isn’t this how DCEU supposedly stumbled in the first place? To much too fast
Nonsense. Everybody knows that only private companies that won’t let conservatives spread lies are violating the first amendment!
You may be right on that. But, to be fair, they’re treating T’Pring a whole lot better than she was in TOS. They’re really working on gearing the two up to the point where she is in Amok Time. They’ve already introduced Stonn into the picture, so the seeds are there.
I worry that the show is so focused on finding a way for Spock and Chapel to hook up that it’s coming at the expense of T’Pring’s character.
All I want, really, is a Real Housewives of Vulcan spinoff. T’Pril needs to be on it.
“And, if you step back and think about it, that’s an excellent way to distinguish DC movies from Marvel movies.”
So, I have no problem with them doing this... I, frankly, want content... so if they decide to go individual movies or larger ones with multiple characters, I’m good with either happening. But... I mean...…
Can we get a moment of appreciation for Sevet, apparently the only Vulcan in 200 years to understand humans and not be a massive jerk (from our point of view). He recognizes things like positive reinforcement as how humans learn instead of their relentless harsh judgment. This human Captain has taken time out of his…
I really love Gia Sandhu’s portrayal of T’Pring, and I was over the moon that Mia Kirshner came back as Amanda. I also absolutely loved Sevet; T’Pring’s dad is such a lovable goofball, and I would love to see more of him.
The irony is that there is often a lack of creativity on the part of genre fans of any sub-demo.
The license was probably just a blank piece of psychic paper, anyway. But who knew you could do surgery with a sonic screwdriver?
The BBC has gone too far with its marketing this time
