I’ll check it out - thanks for the suggestion. Any particular brand you’ve had success with?

This one worked for me for about 6 months. I thought I had found the holy grail. And I agree the fragrance is neutral and pleasant. But it stopped being effective. To the point where wearing it would somehow make my BO worse applying no deodorant at all. sigh...

omg same. cotton is non-smelly. My cold-weather shirts I wear as an under layer: smelly. Polyester/spandex blend shirt: super smelly. wtf.

I decided to do an anti-perspirant “detox” a few years ago. When I learned that the aluminum was essentially plugging up my sweat glands, it seemed perhaps not a good idea. The first 2-3 weeks were a little rough (smell-wise) and I tried multiple brands of deodorant. I still need to switch every so often bc my body Read more

Correct. And I think it speaks to a deeper motivation: to judge and scorn others (both those who choose abortion, as well as those who don’t and may need a social safety net to get by). Does judging others make them feel better about their own circumstances? Is it a self-loathing reaction due to regret of their past Read more

I must say I do enjoy your cutting the finished product with a cheese spreader. It was a nice touch!

Thank you. I got a lot of heat on another post bc I explained why I voted against Warren in my primary, even though I really liked her and thought she was most qualified. This website is really frustrating sometimes...

I do agree that Iowa/NH shouldn’t be “first”. It’s silly and pointless. We should all vote on the same day. Just one more thing in a long list of changes I wish were made regarding voting...

You, and many others on this thread, are mad at me for not voting the way I “should. ” I’ve “abandoned” my principles and I’m jeopardizing the revolution or something. So you attack and belittle and make smug remarks and it reverberates among you in this echo chamber and you feel better about yourselves. Honestly I Read more

I’m not disappointed. I’m satisfied with the choice I made. You evaluate a candidate on the whole, not just on their platform. That’s what I did. To pretend that these candidates exist in a vacuum that is Iowa/NH and will never face the real world (i.e. the rest of the democratic voters), is just living in a fantasy Read more

I’m not sure how else to say this: I agree with most of Warren’s platform. But some of those positions are not attractive to the electorate as a whole. full stop. This consideration is an important part of considering which candidate to vote for. You may not agree, that’s fine. But let’s not keep hashing out the same Read more

She’s seen as too lecturing. She’s seen as too shrill. Similar things that Hillary was dogged for. To be sure, certain female candidates seem to be prone to this sort of criticism. Amy has seemingly avoided this critique so far. Time will tell if that continues. Read more

No one is saying Amy is a perfect candidate. If the things you mention prevent you from voting from her, fine. That’s your right. Everyone votes for different reasons. Everyone has issues they personally feel are important. Others they couldn’t give two shits about. I feel that Amy’s issues will be less problematic Read more

Yes there is an argument to be made that in the primary, you vote for your ideal candidate. Overall, Warren has the experience, good ideas, and a genuine desire to make things better. But as I said, her campaign made some mistakes, and I no longer felt that she was the best candidate. She’s still the most qualified, Read more

Biden keeps saying dumb shit. It’s only a matter of time before he does something stupid again (that incident up at UNH with the disabled student really offended me). The other moderates are just sharper. Read more

As I said, I didn’t vote for Clinton in the primaries in 2016. I thought Sanders had a better shot at winning the presidency. I was being pragmatic then, as I am now.

Nope. People wanted to know why the switch from Warren to Klobuchar. I explained why. I don’t think Sanders or Warren can win nationally. That’s why I voted for someone else. Read more
