My MR2 is around ~2800 lbs, but I used to drive a 1500 lb MG Midget convertible. Post the lightest car you own, and the lightest you’ve ever driven :D
Because hot damn, 10/10! Would daily, roadtrip, and autocross.
Seriously pricing out a Rallycross build for my Toyota MR2. Figuring out a wheel and tire package is still baffling me though. Here are my options so far:
How much airflow (in cubic feet/minute) would a 2.2l NA engine experience at WOT, and 6000 rpm? Need to know for reasons.
I asked for an Orange WRX with Blue wheels, and this is what I got. What car plans do all y’all have this weekend?
While searching for “Toyota MR2 Rallycross” online, I found this Oppo story about rallycross. Is this a good idea, or is this a fantastic idea??
Yes, this one. If it sells well already in Australia, the 5.0 is the obvious next step.
My MR2 hopes to brighten your Monday!
Too much autocross has glazed the stock commuter-spec rotors on my MR2. What are the best “big brake” kits for such a car? I autocross it a lot, but it’s also a daily.
Autocrossing today, how much horsepower do these add?
How are you all doing today?
I got to drive my friend’s NA Miata last week. It was awesome. However, I finally figured out what “MIATA” stands for. MR2 Is Actually The Answer.
Toyota’s Gazoo Racing chief Tetsuya Tada told TopGear, “The question I’m most frequently asked is whether you’ll be able to fit the 2JZ engine to it... ...I tell them, absolutely, please go ahead!”
This targeted Instagram ad made my day.
I know what I need to do.
It looks average, maybe even kind of meh in photographs. But don’t let that un-photogenic nature deceive you. In person it’s totally different.
I know I do. It has a 2.0l V6. Repeat: TWO-POINT-OH-LITER VEE-SIX. And it makes 197 horsepower. FWD be damned, these are rad cars. 1994 models will be legal in 2019; anyone else considering one?
Because “TwinPower Turbo” also refers to the single-turbo N55 family of inline-6 engines. There’s every possibility that these SAVs will have the same ~380hp output as the M2, Z4, Supra, and other single-turbo BMWs.
I’d really like to have a less restrictive exhaust installed on my ‘91 MR2, but I haven’t been able to find headers that are certified CARB-legal. Where should I be looking for upgrades?
These old-yet-rad cars are priced at a grand each. Which would you take to RadWood 2019?
